By engaging our logistics and warehousing services, you're agreeing to the framework we've refined over 17 years in the transport industry.
Service Agreement
JOHN C. MURPHY MOVING & STORAGE, INC. provides professional freight transportation, transit, and forwarding services. We're committed to the safe delivery of your cargo, but we require accurate documentation for all logistics operations. Have you reviewed your shipping manifests lately?
Contracts are deemed active upon the signing of the Bill of Lading. We'll handle the heavy lifting, but the shipper is responsible for ensuring all cargo is packed to industry standards to withstand the rigours of transit.
Liability & Insurance
Our liability for loss or damage is strictly limited to the values defined in our standard freight insurance policies unless additional coverage is declared in writing. It's a reality of the road: transit involves risks we manage together.
Claims must be filed within 14 days of delivery. No exceptions. We've found this window ensures the most accurate investigations for both parties. Keep your paperwork; it's your best friend in these rare instances.
Warehousing Terms
For goods stored in our Patterson facility, storage fees are calculated monthly. We maintain WAREHOUSES FOR FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION with high-security standards, yet the risk of fire or natural disaster remains with the owner's insurance unless specifically contracted otherwise.
Access to stored cargo requires a 24-hour notice. We don't just let anyone move through our secure zones; security is a promise we keep.
Payment & Fees
Precision in logistics requires precision in payments. All invoices are due Net 30. Late payments may result in a temporary hold on transit services. We're partners in this, and timely settling of accounts keeps the wheels turning.
Fuel surcharges are adjusted weekly based on national averages. No hidden costs, just fair market pricing. Why pay for more than the current market demands?
